2020 Joint Infrastructure & Government Affairs Council Meeting

The Government Affairs Council of the North San Antonio Chamber serves as an advocate for Member businesses and their employees before municipal, county, state, and federal officials on political policy issues impacting the economic growth, quality of life, and financial health of local industries.  The Government Affairs Council informs and educates Members on proposed initiatives, policies, and legislation that may affect the way business in San Antonio is conducted. Through a direct link to business, political, and civic leaders, the Chamber may take an action-oriented position to support legislative issues and influence public policy.

The North San Antonio Chamber Infrastructure Council serves as a resource and strategic advocate for San Antonio regional infrastructure planning and development to improve the quality of life for our members and stakeholders.
Goals: Advocacy | Awareness & Education | Visibility | Connections & Partnerships
Strategic Objectives:

• Agency and stakeholder representation
• Council serves as a vehicle for proposed (policy/actions) to Executive Council/Board
• Viewed by businesses as a value-add in SA; pull in business interests of community and agencies
• Take on big rock items and collaborate on issues that involve Government Affairs
• Build exposure & awareness: MIC, website, SM, etc.
• Invite new Member to Infrastructure
