Dr. Hogg took a winding road to medicine. His first college degree was in accounting and finance, but while working at a CPA firm in Dallas, he became more interested in medicine. He started volunteering in a surgical ICU unit and loved it so much that he returned to college for his premed work. This Texas native made a name for himself growing up in Gilmer as the tall, skinny guy who beat others twice his size at this small town’s sweet potato pie eating contest. Dr. Hogg has always loved helping people--as an Eagle Scout and volunteering throughout college and beyond. He was inspired to open Medical Vein Clinic when he saw so many people with leg pain, swelling, and vein disease going
undiagnosed.
When he’s not in the clinic, Dr. Hogg’s hands are happily in his garden’s dirt, nurturing palm trees and orchids. You might spot him driving around town with his three Vizsla pups, joyfully hanging out of his truck’s windows.
