TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas received a rebate check for $115,800 from CPS Energy for the recent installation of two energy-efficient chillers, located inside the school’s Frost Athletic Center.
CPS Business Account Manager Roland Garcia presented the check Feb. 17 to TMI officials including Chairman of the Board of Governors the Rt. Rev. Gary R. Lillibridge, Executive Chairman Steve Walker, board member Robi Jalnos, Headmaster John W. Cooper, Director of Operations Frank Goza and Facilities Manager Daniel Gonzalez.
The rebate was awarded as part of CPS’ Save For Tomorrow Plan (STEP), aimed at reducing the growth in our community’s demand for electricity. The rebate program encourages the replacement of older equipment with new, more energy-efficient models.
“Energy conservation is the key component” of TMI’s decision to install new chillers, says Gonzalez. “Our energy savings will directly affect our utility bills.”
