First Anniversary Converse EDC Business Appreciation Fiesta

The Converse Economic Development Corporation (Converse EDC) will celebrate its first anniversary of its Quarterly Business Appreciation and Networking event on Thursday, April 28, 2016.  The event will be held from 5:30 pm to 6:30pm. at the Converse City Hall Conference Room , 405 S. Seguin.  The festive event will feature a performance by a Mariachi troupe from Judson ISD.

Over the last year, the Converse EDC has recognized 12 local businesses for their dedication to the community. The businesses that will be recognized this quarter are Alamo Plating and Metal Finishing, Ltd. (27 years); Theresa Westmoreland- State Farm Insurance (29 years); and Yantis Automotive (50 years).

The event provides business to business networking connections and an opportunity to celebrate milestones for local businesses. 

“We are indebted to the businesses for the difference they make in the community,” said Kate Silvas, Converse EDC Executive Director.  “We are excited about what is happening in Converse.  Supporting the businesses that are in Converse is an important part of creating a thriving community.”
