Zippy Shell; founded in 2007, was one of Australia’s first mobile storage businesses and launched in the United States in 2010 as Zippy Shell USA, LLC. The mission is clear: provide convenient, affordable mobile storage and stress free moving. The unique shell and container model saves you time, money and effort by eliminating the need for rental trucks and double handling. With no permits required, the street legal shells can be dropped off and picked up on your schedule. This convenient service at a cost effective price is what attracts consumers.

Alamo Zippy Shell, under the ownership of Charles Bamford, opened in November 2014 to service the San Antonio market. Mr. Bamford’s prior experience in the aerospace industry and helping customers implement best practices is applied to provide Zippy Shell’s storage and moving customers with exceptional service and value.

Beginning March 2015, Alamo Zippy Shell will be partnering with Habitat Home Center to provide a convenient process for the collection of donations, using the Alamo Zippy Shell trailer and container, at various locations around the city from the community.

Donations of excess home building material, gently used furniture and décor will be accepted once a month around the city of San Antonio.

McCoy’s Building Supply at 1025 Kitty Hawk in Universal City will be the first of many locations you can drop off your donations.

McCoy’s operates 86 Building Supply locations and two McCoy’s Millworks facilities in five states serving both Builders and Consumers. For more than 85 years McCoy’s has been dedicated to dealing fairly and respectfully with all whose lives they touch.

With McCoy’s support in believing communities can be strengthened, this worthwhile partnership with Alamo Zippy Shell and Habitat Home Center will certainly assist with diverting San Antonio’s building stock from going into the landfill.

Without the support of both Alamo Zippy Shell and McCoy’s, the Habitat Home Center would not be able to continue its success of accepting gently used home building material, furniture and more and reselling it to the community below cost.

Our three San Antonio home improvement thrift stores’ proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio’s home building program.

Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio works with low-income families who would not otherwise be able to afford a home.

With the funds raised through the Habitat Home Centers, Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio can continue its mission of building simple, decent and affordable homes without interest or profit to the San Antonio community.
