Morgan's Wonderland to offer special Spring Break Entertainment 'Music, Mutts, Magic and More'

As a bonus during spring break 2015, Morgan’s Wonderland will treat guests to “Music, Mutts, Magic and More,” special entertainment that’s free with park admission March 9-14.
 
This will include musical performances, exhibitions by acrobatic dogs, feats of magic and an appearance by “Dinosaur George,” who’ll share his vast knowledge about prehistoric creatures.  “We’re delighted to offer special spring break entertainment in addition to our more than 25 attractions including rides, playgrounds and other fun elements,” said General Manager Ron Morander.
 
Actually, the 25-acre, completely-wheelchair-accessible theme park – designed with special-needs individuals in mind and built to be enjoyed by everyone – will be open daily March 6 through 16.  The latest information on operating days and hours of operation, admissions and special activities can be found at www.MorgansWonderland.com.  The lineup of special spring break entertainment is as follows:
 
Monday, March 9
                10:30 a.m. – Inspirational music by Voice from the Heart choir from Graham, Texas.
                11:30 a.m. – Andrea Guajardo and her high-flying, Frisbee-catching dogs.
                2 p.m. – The Astonishing Mr. Pitts, a ventriloquist, puppeteer, cartoonist and magician all in one.
                3 p.m. – “Dinosaur George” Blasing, paleontologist and animal behaviorist.
                4:30 p.m. – Parade through the park led by the Mistick Drumline.
 
Tuesday, March 10
                10:30 a.m. – The Fourmost Quartet offering barbershop harmony.
                11:30 a.m. – Andrea Guajardo and her dynamic dogs.
                2 p.m. – The Astonishing Mr. Pitts.
                3 p.m. – Eulenspiegel (OIL-N-SPEEGEL) Puppets, presenting “The Monkey and the Crocodile.”
                4:30 p.m. – Parade through the park led by the Mistick Drumline.
 
Wednesday, March 11
                10:30 a.m. – Singer-songwriter Marisa Flores.
                11:30 a.m. – Andrea Guajardo and her dynamic dogs.
                2 p.m. – The Astonishing Mr. Pitts.
                3 p.m. – The Rocky Pals Show, in which kids will create art out of rocks.
                4:30 p.m. – Parade through the park led by the Mistick Drumline.
 
Thursday, March 12
                10:30 a.m. – Singer-songwriter Marisa Flores.
                11:30 a.m. – Andrea Guajardo and her dynamic dogs.
                2 p.m. – The Astonishing Mr. Pitts.
                3 p.m. – The Fabulets, Kidsville Kids’ singing troupe.
                4:30 p.m. – Parade through the park led by the Mistick Drumline
 
Friday, March 13
                10:30 a.m. – Vocalist and recording artist Jake Bogaars.
                11:30 a.m. – Andrea Guajardo and her dynamic dogs.
                2 p.m. – The Astonishing Mr. Pitts.
                4:30 p.m. – Parade through the park led by the Mistick Drumline.
 
Saturday, March 14
                10:30 and 11:30 a.m. – Country-western singer Camille Sanders.
                2 p.m. – The Astonishing Mr. Pitts.
 
Morgan’s Wonderland is the focal point of Wonderland, Texas, a family fun destination that also includes the STAR (South Texas Area Regional) Soccer Complex; the Scorpions, San Antonio’s championship pro soccer team; 8,000-seat, multi-purpose Toyota Field, home of the Scorpions; and Monarch Academy at Morgan’s Wonderland, a school for students with special needs.  Net profits from the Scorpions, Toyota Field and STAR Soccer have been designated to help non-profit Morgan’s Wonderland meet its financial obligations as well as expand programs and services for the special-needs community.
