On April 7, residents, staff and friends of Morningside Ministries along with Boerne community leaders gathered at Morningside Ministries at Menger Springs to celebrate the grand opening of the senior living community’s two newest additions, The Overlook at Menger Springs and Cibolo House Assisted Living.
Together with Boerne Mayor Mike Schultz and the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce, Morningside Ministries’ staff and board members held a ribbon cutting ceremony, ringing in a new chapter for the senior living community. The expansion was developed over two years ago as a way to meet the high demand for senior living options in Boerne.
“A lot of hard work, thought and detail has been put into these buildings,” said President and CEO of Morningside Ministries Alvin Loewenberg. “With each board and nail that went into these buildings, we kept future residents in mind every step of the way. We look forward to welcoming new residents who will call these communities their home for years to come.”
The Overlook at Menger Springs, located on 1150 Grand Boulevard in Boerne, offers 68 contemporary senior living apartments and is also home to The Limestone Bistro Café, a multipurpose ballroom and a beauty salon. The neighboring three-story Cibolo House Assisted Living building on 1000 Grand Boulevard consists of 48 assisted living suites, a dining room, a wellness room and a number of activity spaces. Both buildings were designed to reflect the Texas Hill Country setting and contain modern furnishings, amenities and services.
Opened in 2004, Morningside Ministries at Menger Springs is the largest Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Boerne, offering independent and assisted living options, skilled nursing and rehabilitation services, and memory care. The CCRC is managed by Morningside Ministries, a faith-based non-profit organization founded in San Antonio in 1961,
whose mission is to enhance the dignity and quality of care of older adults, their families and
caregivers with compassionate care. For more information, please visit our website at
