Broadway Bank Announces New Officers & Promotions

Michael Bendele has been promoted to vice president, commercial product manager in the Treasury Services Department. He joined Broadway Bank in 2004 as a teller at the Shavano Banking Center and after a series of promotions, ascended to a supervisory position in Treasury Services. Bendele earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Texas A&M University in College Station in 2004. He also holds the Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification from the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA).
 
Blake Lacy has been promoted to senior vice president, real estate lender in the commercial real estate lending department. He joined Broadway Bank in 2009.  Lacy received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Land Economics and Real Estate from Texas A&M University. Active in the commercial real estate industry, he earned his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation in 2010 and developed commercially-available real estate software for use by developers, lenders, appraisers and investors. Lacy will be a 2015 graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.  He is an active volunteer with his church, the Boy Scouts of America and the CCIM San Antonio-South Texas Chapter.
 
Carmen Pagan has been promoted to vice president, internal audit manager to lead the compliance team in the Internal Audit Department. She began her career with Broadway Bank in 2009, having previously worked in the Internal Audit Department at another financial institution. Pagan earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from The University of Texas at San Antonio. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fiduciary and Investment Risk Specialist (CFIRS), and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS). Pagan is an active member of the Texas Society of CPAs.
 
Kevin Rademacher, CTFA, CFP ®, joins Broadway Bank as vice president, wealth advisor and trust officer in the Wealth Management Division. He has more than 13 years of experience with multi-generational trust administration, comprehensive financial planning and retirement planning. Prior to joining Broadway Bank, Rademacher worked as a regional trust consultant in the banking industry. He earned a Bachelor of Business from Excelsior College, a Certificate in Financial Planning from Florida State University and he completed the American Bankers Association Graduate Trust School. Rademacher is a U.S. Navy veteran and is actively involved with the San Antonio Estate Planning Council, the Financial Planning Association of San Antonio and the ACTS Missions.
 
Joe Ramos has been promoted to vice president, bank secrecy act and fraud manager in the Enterprise Risk Management Department. He began his career at Broadway Bank in 2008 as the help desk supervisor in the Information Technology Department and ascended to client support analyst and help desk team lead. Before coming to Broadway Bank, Ramos worked in the financial industry supporting information technology systems and compliance. He has a Bachelor of Arts from St. Mary's University.
 
Shannon Savary has been promoted to legal analyst in the Executive Management Department in San Antonio. Savary joined Broadway Bank in 2014 as a personal banker at the Boerne Banking Center. Prior to working at Broadway Bank, she worked as a member services representative with another financial institution and as a clerk at a local law firm during law school. She has a Bachelor of Science in communication studies from The University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law.
 
DeSean Starks joins Broadway Bank as assistant vice president, senior audit officer in the Internal Audit Department. He has more than six years of experience as a contract auditor with the Department of Defense. Starks graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting in 2008 and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Texas.
