North SA Chamber, Lead SA announces Chairman, Board of Directors and honors Dr. Ricardo Romo

The North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce hosted it’s 41st Annual Gala on Saturday, January 24, at the JW Marriott Hill Country Resort, with master of ceremonies Bill Taylor, KENS 5 TV. The Gala program included the Chairman’s Reflection on 2014 by the outgoing Chairman of the Board, Annie Turner of Wells Fargo, the Chairman’s Vision for 2015 by chairman Rob Killen of Kaufman Killen, the presentation of the San Antonian Award to UTSA President, Dr. Ricardo Romo, and the installation of North Chamber and Lead SA directors.

Killen is taking up the legacy of previous chairs by focusing on leadership development and public policy advocacy at the local and state levels. During his tenure as chairman, the North Chamber will expand initiatives to foster tomorrow’ leaders by engaging the chamber membership to go out into the community and give back through their involvement, and organizing members to be heard as we advocate for issues affecting the business community.

Killen is an attorney and Vice President of Kaufman Killen, a San Antonio-based law firm and member of the North Chamber since 1985. Rob advises and represents clients in the areas of land use entitlements, economic development incentives and local governmental relations. Killen has served the community in a number of roles including President of the UTSA Alumni Association, President of the Lambda Chi Alpha San Antonio Alumni Association, Chair of the North Chamber Business Development Council and Government Affairs Council, and as a member of the VIA Citizens Advisory Council.
