Summer at TMI hits new high

TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas welcomed more than 500 students to its Summer at TMI camps and courses – a record-high number of participants since the program began in 2013.
The 2015 session’s enrollment represents a 25-percent increase over the previous year’s participation in the seven-week program’s academic and enrichment courses and sports and activity camps.  The most popular camps, says Summer Coordinator Sarah McGhee, were Adventure Training (first aid, map reading and other survival skills), Rifle Marksmanship, All Day Activity Camp (games, races, swimming and scavenger hunts), LEGO Building and Robotics camps.

“The TMI campus is a great place for kids to spend the summer learning and playing,” says McGhee. “We offer camps to fit nearly everyone’s passion or interest.  It’s great to come to work every day and see kids running, talking and laughing in our gyms and on our fields and getting excited about learning new things in our classrooms.“

Other offerings include tennis lessons, water-polo camp, study-skills classes and volleyball clinics.
Camps and courses are open to TMI students and the public.  For details about Summer at TMI 2016, contact McGhee at summer@tmi-sa.org.
