About the Company: SpawGlass is a Texas-based commercial and civil contractor providing clients with the absolute best construction experience by operating based on the principles of the SpawGlass Way: Build Trust, Be Professional, Live Teamwork, Be Passionate, Think Like an Owner. The company was founded in 1953 by Louis Spaw and Frank Glass, hence the name SpawGlass. With six offices across Texas, the company has approximately 600 employees statewide and is 100 percent employee-owned with ownership open to all employees.  Melodye is the Business Development Manager for SpawGlass where she nurtures client relationships.  She also plans their annual fall Charity Golf Tournament which this year's recipient is Sunshine Cottage.
 
About the Program:  The Leadership & Professional Development Council offers specialized and advanced leadership and professional development to encourage and support our community’s leaders. This Council promotes leadership cultivation designed to assist business people in building professional connections and acquiring cutting-edge thinking and best practices. This council is responsible for the direction and success of the Enterprising Women's Conference with the ATHENA Awards Luncheon and the Leadership Lab program.
 
Personally Speaking: Melodye has been actively involved with the Chamber since she graduated from the Award-Winning Leadership Lab program in 2008.  She has staying involved with the Lab program by serving as President of the Alumni Board and serving on the steering committee. She chaired the 2015 Leadership Lab graduating 86 students last November.  Melodye is also a member of the Governmental Affairs Committee. "In addition to the Chamber's Advocacy for businesses in our community, they offer numerous networking opportunities such as their Networking Breakfast and the Sell-out luncheon programs," says Melodye.
